WELDRIX™ MANIFOLD · Laser Welding
Weldrix Manifold Laser Welding Systems: The AI Boom Runs on Laser Welds That Don't Leak.

Two PB Lasers welding systems, one standard: clean, repeatable welds that don't leak and don't warp. An automated 5-axis fiber-laser cell for AI liquid-cooling manifolds, and a laser-arc hybrid system that penetrates medium and thick plate in a single pass.

Fiber-Laser & Laser-Arc Hybrid Welding Systems
Two Systems, One Standard

Welds That Don't Leak, Don't Warp, and Don't Need Rework.

PB Lasers builds laser-welding systems for the work that punishes conventional welding: pressure-tight cooling manifolds that cannot leak, and thick structural plate that eats a dozen MIG passes. Both are engineer-led and North-American supported — production capability without the big-name overhead.

System 02 · Laser-Arc Hybrid

One Pass Where MIG Takes a Dozen.

Laser-arc hybrid welding puts a fiber laser and a welding arc in the same head, in the same weld pool. The laser drills a deep keyhole; the arc fills it and keeps the process stable — reaching 0.6–1.2 in of penetration in a single pass on medium and thick plate, where a conventional MIG pass reaches about 0.12 in.

Two heat sources, one weld pool — the fiber laser (1064 nm, 12 kW class) opens the keyhole; the arc fills it.

The Advantage

Faster, Flatter, Stronger — With Fewer Passes.

Concentrated heat makes a small pool that cools fast, so less heat goes into the base metal. Less warp means less straightening, less rework, and parts that fit the next station the first time.
Weldrix Manifold weld penetration comparison: shallow arc weld versus deep, narrow laser-arc hybrid weld
Arc builds a shallow pool; hybrid builds a narrow, deep one that runs to the bottom of the plate.

Where It Runs

Proven on Plate That Has to Hold.

Faster would not matter if the weld were weaker — it is not. Tensile strength hits 95% of base metal; impact toughness on marine-grade high-strength steel rises to 59–89 ft-lb.

Production math — one 10 ft seam in 1.2 in plate: ~96 min by conventional arc (≈12 passes) vs ~2–4 min by laser hybrid (1–2 passes). Your joint, material, and fit-up change the numbers — that's what the call is for.

FAQ

Laser Welding — Common Questions.

Weldrix Linear is arc (MIG/MAG) robotic welding for structural steel — beams, columns, and long weldments on a ground rail. Weldrix Manifold is laser welding — a focused fiber-laser beam on the 5-axis manifold cell, or a laser-arc hybrid head for thick plate. Laser welding gives a narrower, deeper weld with a much smaller heat-affected zone and far less distortion — exactly what leak-proof manifolds and thick-plate seams need.
Yes. It is purpose-built for pressure-tight liquid-cooling manifolds. Vision-guided 5-axis motion holds ±0.0008 in repeatability and the fiber laser lays consistent, full-penetration seams with a minimal heat-affected zone, so welds hold pressure with little or no rework.
The 5-axis manifold cell welds 304/316L stainless, aluminum, carbon and galvanized steel from roughly 0.02–0.08 in. The laser-arc hybrid system welds medium and thick steel plate, reaching 0.6–1.2 in of penetration in a single pass.
On 1.2 in plate a conventional arc seam can take about 12 passes at 12–20 in/min; laser hybrid does it in 1–2 passes at ≥59 in/min — roughly 96 minutes of arc-on time down to about 2–4 minutes for the same 10 ft seam. Figures are illustrative; your joint and fit-up change them.
Laser-arc hybrid welds reach about 95% of base-metal tensile strength, versus about 85% for conventional arc, with impact toughness on marine-grade high-strength steel measured at 59–89 ft-lb.
